I got divorced, and there were no complications. The best way to describe it is freedom. I wouldn't have been able to get through it without them.
My ex and I had been separated for four years, so it was time for a divorce. I had put my application down at the courthouse, but when I learned about the next steps, there was so much more I had to do. So I decided to get legal advice to find out what my next step could be and to determine if I could do this on my own.
I set up a consultation online with the Family Law Group, and someone called me back with questions to determine what I needed. The woman was very nice, and It didn't feel like she was invading your privacy. She was just trying to help you move along.
I then had my consultation with my lawyer. She walked me through the process of what was needed. She was very honest and explained that even though I'm doing a simple divorce, it can still be stressful with a lot of legwork. That's what I liked about her right from the beginning: she was being honest and so wonderful in trying to help me along with it.
They made everything simple for me. They emailed every single little thing that had to go out. Sometimes I'd get an email on a Sunday to tell me about the process of everything that's been happening. They just keep you up to date. They did everything except for literally filing the application because I had already done that.
My lawyer had a good personality. She was friendly, warm, and caring; I just felt like she would take care of me. I felt comfortable with her, and I instantly trusted her. The support staff was warm and welcoming also. Whenever they messaged me, I never felt like I was just a client. It felt like they were messaging their friend.
