My experience with Kaila was great. The Family Law Group as a whole is also great. They have a ton of experience, are reputable, and have been around for a long time.
My ex and I separated, and I didn't want a lawyer, to be honest, but because of things that had transpired with him and the push from family and friends, I decided it was in my best interest to protect myself from his behavior.
A friend recommended the Family Law Group, and they set me up with my lawyer. After checking Google reviews about the firm and her specifically, I was happy with what I saw.
When I met with her, it was a Zoom meeting. I found my lawyer to be very nice and a great listener. She was good at justifying how I felt and seemed to be the right fit for the situation.
We spoke about the gist of what was going on in my life at the time. My lawyer explained to me how the situation would unfold. It was a general overview of her services. I felt more at ease after I talked to her about my situation.
My ex thought he would fight the verbal agreement we had when all this started, and he would ultimately get more out of the situation than he was entitled to. But the verbal agreement is what we ended on and that's what's on paper now. I'm really happy it's over. That was the biggest thing when I first spoke to my lawyer, I just wanted it over, and I just wanted to move on with life.
