It was just so nice not to have to think about that, to just know that they had it covered.
Much to Kaila and my surprise, my ex signed the agreement as we had agreed upon. Kaila and I were very skeptical that he was actually going to sign it. The day that I went to sign it because I signed it after him, obviously, I said to Kaila, "Were you shocked when you saw that hit your inbox?" And she was like, "I was, actually." We just built up that kind of relationship after months. So it was a great outcome. We were both shocked that it actually came to fruition, but it did.
I was very happy that it got signed, and happy that I had an amazing team of people at the law firm who helped me out and reassured me throughout the whole process. The weight's lifted off your shoulder the day that it actually gets signed. So it's good.
Separating from your spouse is never something you go into your marriage thinking that's going to happen, obviously, but unfortunately, these things happen. It takes a huge emotional toll on yourself and every relationship in your whole life. So when a person is able to find a good law firm to work with, that went a long way to take some of that burden off my brain, to know that Kaila and Jaclin had it well in hand and we're getting things done, and I never had to worry. I never felt like I had to check up on them and make sure that they were doing their job or keep hounding them for things. It was just taken care of, which at a stressful time where you have so much that you have to do, it was just so nice not to have to think about that, to just know that they had it covered.
They are well worth the money in terms of putting your emotions at ease and your stress level at ease. It's worth every dollar that I spent, and I don't feel like I overspent. Any email or phone call that they sent me was needed. They didn't charge me for ridiculous things like you see on TV or you hear horror stories of these lawyers, they're just out to get your money. I never once felt that at all. It was definitely worth every dollar that I spent, and I would 100% recommend them to anybody, for sure.
