She nailed everything right, even to my daughter's post-secondary education.
I got what I wanted, plus more. I didn't realize all of the things that I was entitled to. I didn't know all of the things that were put in place for my daughter. I felt like I was actually a part of the team, and my wants and needs were heard by Kaila. Whereas I felt very dismissed in my first case with the final order. My final order with the first case was five things. And I thought that was a great final order because I didn't know any different. And now my final order with Kaila is like pages long. She nailed everything right, even to my daughter's post-secondary education. And I didn't have any of that on my first final order. I didn't even know that my child's support could go up with his wages going up. Kaila is thorough and knowledgeable, and she educates you along the way. Even some of my friends ask me questions, and I'm like, "Well, this is what Kaila told me you're entitled to." I feel like I know things now where I didn't know things before.
They are expensive. But you get what you pay for. Yes, that is the one thing that I wish was different, but I also understand lawyers aren't cheap. My reality hit me in the face with how much it cost me. But with that being said, my ex paid next to nothing for his lawyer, and his lawyer was, for lack of better words, really dumb, even to the point where Kaila had put in our final order that he had to do something in congruence with signing this piece of paper. And they just sent the paperback. So when she called his lawyer, his lawyer was like, "Oh, I didn't even see that part." She didn't even read over a final order with him. You get what you pay for kind-of-thing. So it is expensive, but they will go to bat for you, and they will fight for you, and they will be realistic with you.
