They laid everything out, and everything they told me was exactly what happened.
She was very honest and upfront with things, and not that it was like a casual environment, but I felt very relaxed, and I felt we connected. Obviously, she's my lawyer, and I'm her client, but it didn't feel like that. I just felt very comfortable with her.
We had a bit of trouble with my ex signing it and getting a hold of his lawyer, which was very frustrating to me because his lawyer had it in February, and it didn't get signed until, I want to say, April. So every once in a while, I touched base with Kaila or Jaclin to see if they had got it and, "No, but we're reaching back out." And they hadn't heard from his lawyer. So Kaila actually called me at one point and was like, "Listen, I need to be upfront with you. It's not looking good that he's going to sign this. We haven't heard anything for four to six weeks. I just want to prepare you." Which she totally didn't have to do. So, I appreciated the fact that she reached out with that call just for the heads up that things might not be going as smoothly as we thought.

And they even warned me about the potential surprises that could come or the things that were out of our control. So if there had been a surprise, I was forewarned by them to know that, heads up, this could happen, or this could happen, which was nice, too, because then your mind doesn't get spiralling into all those what-ifs. They were put on the table and discussed. So that was awesome, too, because you knew what the plan was going to be no matter what happened.
