Professionalism
I trusted the team, I trusted the process, and I went with the flow, so I had no expectations whatsoever.
First of all, I have no expectations. This was my first case ever, and dealing with the legal system in Canada, I have no expectations because to have expectations means that you are informed. I was completely ignorant with regard to the whole system, so I took it day by day. I trusted the team, I trusted the process, and I went with the flow, so I had no expectations whatsoever.
If I had any questions, they were very candid and transparent about it, and they came back to me as soon as they could. Let's always keep in mind here that we're dealing with human beings. We're not dealing with robots that are exclusively available to us. So, if that is kept in perspective, everyone's experience mentally would be a little smoother.
No one ever calls a lawyer because they're in a good situation or a good spot. Everyone's in distress when they're speaking to a lawyer, and the lawyers understand and know that at least the Family Law Group did. But again, to be fair, they can only do what each process of each stage allows them to do because this legal system is not exclusive to all clients. So, in terms of professionalism, they were as professional as could be.
