Professionalism

Took my opinion. Adjusted it slightly to soften the approach.

There was a situation that happened in the middle during the information gathering stage in the application and so on, where, of course, the other party had to be involved because I was going for an uncontested divorce. So, of course, it's all on my side with the documents and paying for it and so on. But of course, the other party has to be involved to make sure it's going to go through as uncontested. And there were some situations that happened on that side, almost seeming like they were attempting to delay it or create a bigger issue than what I was trying to accomplish.

Kaila and Demetria went about it as lawyers. The way I would've handled it is definitely different than the way they did. They were more direct and more offensive. Versus, I've always been defensive in this process. So they gave me what they would do. Took my opinion. Adjusted it slightly to soften the approach. But, took what I thought was going to be a huge problem, and because they went more offensive, more direct, drawing the line in the sand. This is what we're looking for, but if you persist, it could go in this direction.

They handled that situation exactly how you would think a lawyer would and got it smoothed out within a couple of days, and we were back on track again. I think if I would've been in that situation by myself, without the lawyers backing me, and their opinion, and how they would typically handle this situation, I feel like I'd still be in it.
