Everything was very, very detailed and very guided. I always felt supported every step of the way.
I gave them a back history of our relationship. Events leading up to and to the ending of the relationship. And then, I kept notes on when my son was in his father's care. He wasn't being fed or details that way. He was coming home dirty, all of those things. There was a point where I had to have CAS involvement for child neglect on his end. And Kaila walked me through what all of that looked like. Everything was very, very detailed and very guided.
There were times when I'd be freaking out about something, and then she'd be like, "OK, we'll talk. Can we make a phone call on whatever date?" And she'd provide me with a couple of dates. And I'm like, "Yeah." And after I talked to her, I'd be like, "I'm OK." She's like, "Yes, don't worry about it. It's OK. We're going to deal with it. Don't freak out. This isn't going to happen to you. Don't worry." So she peeled me off the ceiling quite a few times.
