I can't say I have any regrets.
Is there anything that surprised you during this entire process?
There was one thing that surprised me. There was a motion to have "\_\_\_" returned to Ontario. It was crunch time to get all of our stuff together. The opposing lawyer had sent us their briefing, and we had seven days to get our brief together. The file was huge. We had worked day and night for seven straight days, my girlfriend and I and the Family Law Group.
There were times when I was sending emails to Brenda, not expecting an answer until the morning, but I was sending them at 8:00 or 9:00 PM, and she was answering my emails at like 10 o'clock or 10:30 PM. She didn't have to. She was probably lying in bed, but she was emailing me, and I couldn't believe it. I thought that was extremely professional. I was totally surprised by that.
If you could go back in time, what would you tell yourself to do differently to make this a less stressful experience?
