If you even have to ask that, don't do it. Don't do it because it'll never get better.
You have to trust your lawyer, but you shake your head thinking, "Is this really fair?" Because even me paying all the bills in the house, I was still underpaying my support obligations, if that makes sense.
You look at the house she's living in and the lifestyle... It's just not fair, but life's not fair. So what are you going to do? You don't just sit there and feel sorry for yourself. You get up and do the best you can for yourself. I love challenges.
Looking back, I get it now. But when you're in the heat of the moment, And you're like, "Oh, we just appraised everything, and she doesn't agree. Where do we go from here, Brenda?" Brenda's like, whatever, "It doesn't mean anything." But I didn't know that. So, looking back, I get it because I'm done now, and the emotions aren't riding as high.
You evolve as a person. When you find the right person, you will know. There won't be that question of should I or shouldn't I? If you even have to ask that, don't do it. Just make sure. But I have zero regrets because my kids are my world. I look at them, and there are these incredible two human beings that I couldn't imagine without.
