I had terrible experiences with two other lawyers before family lawyers.

I deal with lawyers every day because I work in the criminal courts. I also dealt with family lawyers prior to dealing with them, so I have respect for them. It's really the only thing I can think of.
I had terrible experiences with two other lawyers before family lawyers. The first one was basically too busy. My understanding was she was under obligation to not say that, so she basically stopped calling me back. Then the same happened with the second lawyer that I had. They were both single-lawyer practices, so I think they were just overwhelmed. And my understanding is a lawyer can't really say to you, "I'm too busy." They just stop calling you. And that's what happened in my experience. So I would wait in desperation for phone calls. And it was a very, very, very bad experience that I had before being associated with Brenda Barr.
It was heartbreaking. It was so stressful just waiting for phone calls. And then the one lawyer, when I would email her, she'd be like, stop bugging me or stop harassing me. And so it was like, what? That was such gaslighting. And I told Brenda about that. I was like, I wouldn't be bugging you if you would keep in touch.
