This is what they do, and I know they've heard horror stories, and this is not a horror story. It's not like I was living in social housing with my kids, and I couldn't feed them, but I just felt like they got it. Just felt like they got it. They were fighting for me. They never belittled me. They never made me feel like, this is silly, or you shouldn't do this, or this is a waste of time. Even when I went into the office to drop off files and stuff, even the receptionists were always so professional. Very good experience.
As a woman, I felt particularly comfortable with Lisa and her staff. All of them that I dealt with were women and strong, independent characters. That, as a woman, was comforting to me. So, in general, I would say there's no question that the lawyers at Family Law Group are capable of getting you through whatever process you need to get through. You just need to know before you start what you hope the end game is. Know what your boundaries are or what your limits are in terms of financial expectation or cost. Don't go into it blindly because I think that's when people get sideswiped by it. They don't really set a budget, or they don't ask those questions at the beginning of how much potentially could this cost? And lawyers are very hesitant to put a dollar figure on it.
I've been in it for so long I feel like depending on who I was talking to, the elevator pitch would be different. But the piece that wouldn't change would be that the Family Law Group is incredibly professional, hardworking, knowledgeable in its field, and reliable.
She plays hardball, and I knew that from the get-go. I had that vibe from her from the get-go, and I play hardball in business when I need to, and that struck a chord with me. I think that's why I use the word stern because she wasn't messing around. It wasn't that she came across as unfriendly or cold, nothing like that. I knew she meant business, and she's hardcore about it. Depending on the situation, obviously, if you're looking for a lawyer who's dealing with wills and estates, you want them maybe to be less of a pit bull. You want them to be softer around the edges because you've just lost somebody. But when it's a legal divorce, you don't want somebody to drag their feet through the dirt.
