Hindsight
There's been a lot of introspection in the last year that I wish I had done... you don't know what you don't know until you actually know.

Client: We did a lot of work behind the scenes, starting with her lawyers sharing a template with us, and we worked through a lot of the sections on our own, and then we came to the agreements, and then there wasn't a whole lot else. There were a few things, but a whole lot else, that we needed our lawyer's legal eyes and minds for. But yeah, the amount of money that I spent and it took away from our life together a decade ago because of my first marriage, it was definitely something that we didn't want to see in place for our kids going forward in terms of that lost money that should go toward them rather than dealing with our issues.
Client: I'll tell you, I wish I had that 14-13 years ago. I would have done more of the inquiry and growth and development of myself to not now find myself in this situation a decade and a bit later, but yeah, for sure. There's been a lot of introspection in the last year that I wish I had done after my first marriage and not found myself now in a similar position with this second marriage. But such is life, and you don't know what you don't know until you actually know, and then you try to make yourself better from it.
Interviewer: Is there anything that surprised you during this entire process?
Client: No. I can't see anything that jumps to mind in terms of what I wish I knew prior to getting into it overall, because it was short of a time span and so succinctly and cleanly dealt with. I don't think there's anything that I look back and I second guess.
