Once I basically agreed to take them on as representation, it was just a matter of a simple e-transfer of the retainer and then the verification of identity, which could have been done by a Zoom call or just popping into the office and basically assigning off of retaining their services. It came through quickly, the link and the process for sending across that retainer, and really a reasonable amount in terms of upfront retainer cost relative to other firms, that's for sure.
We didn't second-guess it. I was ready to get the process started on behalf of my wife and just help her move along with it. Obviously, I could have dragged my heels, and I could have prolonged it, but all that does is serve for more interaction with the firm, which costs money every time you have contact.
