I had a marriage that dissolved, and I needed a lawyer quickly. It was not a good situation. The relationship had deteriorated over quite a few years. It was an unfortunate situation that I felt like I was really scrambling toward the end of the marriage. Because it was one of those situations, the harder you try, the more you fail.
I just think it's unfortunate that lots of people have to go through something like this. It's not a good situation. Our proceedings and all that stuff did take quite a few years. It almost took as long as the marriage to get to the end. It wasn't a very cooperative or collaborative effort. I would use the term hostile. I've gone from a place of high stress to much lower stress.
